For this beautiful heritage styled Fairview townhouse property we managed to complete a full home renovation and redesign of the interior.  We converted a closet into extra square footage for the master bathroom by removing a common wall.  We installed new cabinets, tile floors and walls, engineered wood floors, countertops, plumbing and electrical fixtures, appliances, shower glass

I want to preface this testimonial with a little bit about myself and my fiancé.

  1. This is our first home/investment together
  2. This was our first big project together
  3. We like (love) nice things
  4. We are picky and demanding AND we had a budget

While I might have just described us as the ultimate worst clients…I think what it speaks to is that we had and have high expectations especially when it comes to how our biggest investment shapes up and you can use that when forming an opinion on the Fifth Element team based on my testimonial below. We initially met Fifth Element through our amazing designer Amber Kingsnorth and clicked with them right away. My jaw initially dropped at the first review of the budget but they kept me calm (a rare talent) and helped me a) understand the costing and expectations and b) where we could reduce a few of the line items without sacrificing quality. We chose the Fifth Element Construction team firstly because of their relationship with our designer, their vibe and seeing photos from their previous projects. But, more importantly, we kept them and plan to use them for the next project because;

  1. they still have a great vibe which makes them very easy to work with – if you have to spend that much time with people, you might as well like them!  
  2. their work was impeccable  
  3. they are attentive to client needs  
  4. if you’re going to enter into a relationship with late night calls, laughs and tears you want it to be with people you trust – we trust these guys like family and phoned them more so.
  5. their trades people are polite, clean and professional
  6. Every decision big or small was clearly communicated and decided upon as a team, if they had questions they didn’t just go ahead and make it, they made sure everything was as we wanted.  

Every day I walk into my house and I am thrilled not only with how it looks but how it feels. Because of the attention to detail, hard work and their awesome team members/ trades we now have a beautiful home, our bedroom feels like a fancy hotel and the custom millwork is to-die-for (picture new closets, a dressing room (!) and a beautiful kitchen. I, the picky, particular and demanding homeowner, could not be happier with the work done and look forward to my next opportunity to work with Fifth Element and have/will continue to encourage others to be so lucky as to do the same. Get ready guys…the next project will be bigger and better!
